Airport Operations and Fleet-Planning Products

Context

Enroute is a platform providing airport software and infrastructure solutions. I directed its product line on a part-time basis, concurrent with full-time technical leadership roles at Joint Scopes Technologies and Sanbod.

Business Challenge

Airport operations involve interdependent processes — flight operations, scheduling, crew assignment, and fleet planning all affect one another. The product needed to translate those business processes into software that operations teams could actually rely on day to day.

Mahdi's Role

I directed the development team and shaped the design of the OPS, scheduling, crew, and fleet-planning products, working alongside my full-time architecture and technical-management responsibilities elsewhere.

Technical Constraints

• The product needed to reflect real airport business processes accurately — errors in scheduling or fleet-planning logic have operational consequences.
• As a part-time, concurrent engagement, technical direction had to be set efficiently, with clear documentation so the team could execute without constant day-to-day oversight.

Approach

I analyzed client business processes to propose the right software approach for each product area, authored technical requirement documentation and best-practice guides, and used diagrams to lay out operational logic clearly enough for the team to build against independently.
